” I lost my son in Nov 2017 in a road accident, 5 months after he joined me to work onboard the cruise I was working on. He was only 24 and just beginning his life. Any mom would feel devastated by losing a child. I know the pain I felt. I took a one year break. My elder daughter and husband went into depression. But I knew I had to do something and come out of it. I started again being a Sous Chef onboard cruises beginning January this year. I keep myself active daily serving and cooking the best meals for people. Although I’m supposed to work only 10 hours a day, when my crew who I view as my children, are working, I am always with them. I have to move on and keep on living.”
