PETALING JAYA, 2 June 2019 — The CARING MOMS’ Corporate Eat Fest day was held at Oasis Discovery Centre in Petaling Jaya as an initiative for corporate brands to establish a relationship with their biggest target consumers—mothers.

CARING MOMS CEO, Major (Retired) Shera Ann Bosco said that “Eat Fest started off as a networking event. Moving one step ahead, the eat fest has [now] ventured into the Corporate Eat Fest day where corporate brands are invited to come over and build relationships with the community”.

Partnering up with Anchor Food Professionals, this year’s Corporate Eat Fest was also aimed at bringing home bakers on the CARING MOMS platform a step closer towards creating more sustainable efforts in developing a legacy and a micro-business.

The partnership comes in conjunction with Fonterra’s 133rd birthday in November. As a start towards the partnership, 30 mothers were invited to participate in the Corporate Eat Fest, concocting various savory and sweet baked goods using Anchor products.

Associate Food Service Director of Anchor Food Professionals, Jack Tan remarked that “their mission and job [is] to continuously drive enrichment to their consumers in Malaysia”, coming in alignment with CARING MOMS’ mission to empower and mobilize women through sustainable socio-economic programs and creating opportunities towards building a business of their very own.

With the notion of “how can we actually build and drive sustainability?” this year’s Corporate Eat Fest unites small-businesses with a hunger for growth, empowering home bakers to network themselves while simultaneously developing viable businesses.

CARING MOMS was started in April 2016 by two individuals with the aim of creating an ecosystem for the targeted disadvantaged and displaced individuals in the community to develop and grow their entrepreneurial skills.

CARING MOMS is now an entrepreneurial development platform that connects mothers and women alike to a network of individuals and corporations, providing them access to a wide range of opportunities, skills, and guidance, empowering them to be economically independent. We strive to provide a safe environment for mothers to transact, learn, interact, and gain support to start-up and mature their businesses.
