PETALING JAYA, 20 AUGUST 2019 — Making it their mission to search for ways to ensure sustainability and progression for their mompreneurs, CARING MOMS developed Eat Fest, a networking platform for their entrepreneurs.
However, with progress consistently moving in parallel with the social enterprise, the Eat Fest has since branched out to incorporate learning opportunities for their mothers to nurture and guide them into developing sustainable micro-businesses.
Most recently, the CARING MOMS Eat Fest – Pitch Your Business, was held at Oasis Village in Ara Damansara where these entrepreneurs were given the opportunity pitch and gain insights on how to hone their pitching skills.
“Grab the opportunity first, and worry about it later”, said Co-Founder of CARING MOMS, Umesh Narasimhaiah as he assured the nervous crowd, many of which were pitching their businesses for the first time.
“Whether you’re swimming in 10 feet of water or 10,000 feet of water, it’s the same; the only difference is your perspective”, he added.
For many entrepreneurs, particularly newly-found business owners, pitching is deemed as quite a daunting task. As such, CARING MOMS saw the need for this session, engaging these entrepreneurs to take a chance on themselves to learn how to craft the perfect pitch for a better chance at sustainability.
Although a non-competitive session, panelists Maria Melanie, Senior Business Solutions Consultant at Mesiniaga Berhad and Lisa Seow, Manager at Tesco to provide feedback and suggestions to the entrepreneurs, to further inculcate learning as a vital tool for growth in the entrepreneurial sector.
Constantly expanding the horizons for their mothers to grow and equip themselves with necessary skills, to eventually develop their businesses into sustainable efforts, CARING MOMS believes that a little progress each day adds up to big results.
